What I’m Really Thinking …about religion Independent.ie ‘Religion… is the opium of the masses”. Karl Marx said that. He said lots of stuff about religion, but in this bit he was saying that religion is just there to reduce …

The author goes on to rehash the common misgivings about the inherent qualities of religion – wondering why there are so many if there be one God, and then its (religions) disqualification due to the many who are born into a religion and that diversity. Although the common thought process considers falsehood and belief systems as sanitary factors as if everyone is entitled to their opinion – I do not concur.
The main issue with religion and how people pander to it is that it promotes and fosters stupidity. I like to call a spade a spade. I think that calling things by their name is exactly what this world needs in order to eliminate the “stickiness” of many religions that rely on a lack of understanding for their own standing. Thus resulting in the continued obeisance of the “faithful” and the continuous counteraction of the disillusioned, disenfranchised, and disappointed masses now ranking as an exodus from faith in the world and questioning if there is really even a God or not.
As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ I prefer that all religion be questioned – even my own as I myself have and will always do and espouse in my daily debates with atheists and theists of all stripes. As I do in my book: “Salvation Check-Up: Your Belief Is Not Enough!”, I show how truth is the utmost pursuit that any sincere “religious” person must embark on and check their “faith” against. By using the Creator’s own words and demonstrated “statutes and precepts” in the heavens and the earth (science), the truest of scriptural interpretation and understanding will be gained and happily, the destruction of ignorance-based “abusive” religions will begin as they fade into their rightful oblivion.
But also, another good will soon become evident: that atheists and the formerly religiously abused, will begin to think rightly about the truths inherent in a nature that ultimately was fashioned by a creator – even if they still deny that there is evidence for one.
At least, we would purify the faithful having made clear the line between the faithful and the faithless.
