New Depression Resources at Arithmetai University

AU-DepressionBC

Arithmetai University has started to open up its classes through its online portal at www.arithmetaiuniversity.org .  The school was offline for a bit due to a severe hacker attack over 1 year ago when the Sony servers were hit and brought down almost congruently.

The course (one of two for this week) is not really a course but a session-based therapy resource in conjunction with a research project conducted by the school. The best part is that it is FREE!  That’s right!

According to some statistics, an average of 8 – 12% of people in most countries will suffer depression at some point in their lives with people in the U.S. suffering from major depressive episode (lasting a year or so) is 3-5% for males and 8-10% for females.

Also, we have many teenagers dealing with great oppressive situations that bring about depression and thoughts of suicide. Depression is considered a major (if not leading) cause of suicide among teens.

The school initiative (under the umbrella of TSPCI.ORG) is a worthy effort to stem the tide and give adults and teens suffering from depression a fighting chance.

The Rev. Dr. Gilberto Rosado (Church leader, founder of the School and this resource’s main instructor / guide) has personally saved a number of individuals including teens who were contemplating committing suicide.
