A World of Math Worksheets – Math Made Easy For Parents & Educators!
Help! Our Kids are falling behind in Math!
I have been warning for many years in my education seminars that the U.S. is lagging more and more as time passes. My cognitive mentoring method introduced a few years ago has not been embraced by mainstream educational venues as of this writing.  Educators have been slow to identify new techniques and methods as the schools that train them “freeze” them in process and form which results in the following present state of education in the U.S. as the following excerpt form National Public radio exposes:
“Look at the latest results on educational achievement from the Program for International Student Assessment of the OECD. In reading, Shanghai-China leads the world with South Korea, Finland, Hong Kong-China and Singapore rounding out the top 5. In math, Shanghai-China leads the world with Singapore, Hong Kong-China, South Korea, and Taiwan rounding out the top 5. In science, Shanghai-China leads the world, with Finland, Hong Kong-China, Singapore, and Japan rounding out the top 5.
In reading, the United States finished 17th … right behind Estonia. In math, America finished 31st… 7 points below the OECD average. In science, the United States finished 23rd… right behind Hungary and roughly at the OECD average. Think there’s some Asian bias that makes it hard for us poor North Americans to compete? Canada finished in the top 10 in every category.” Excerpt from: http://www.npr.org/2010/12/08/131901687/foreign-policy-american-averageism
What is the answer to this situation? Among the various solutions are a couple of interventions and courses I have created to help parents help their children advance in school and in life. Although these solutions are vital, they do not provide an applied bare bones method that any parent can use to simply help their child in school work. For this aspect I look to websites like  mathworksheetsworld.com .Â
Math worksheets are an important tool in helping a child advance in their math mastery. Homework is not enough to help your child overcome shortcomings in his or her math knowledge. Waiting for them to progress too far into the school year without a firm grip on their work is the big mistake that most parents commit – I see it year after year!Â
One of the major complications is that teachers safeguard their curriculum depriving parents the knowledge they need in order to help their own kids keep up with the work. How is a parent to help their child? Considering the fact that the parent is the best teacher of the child – endowed so by nature itself (as detailed in my seminars and courses)! Why must it be a mystery what the child is learning this week, next week and this month for the sake of preservation of the profession? Isn’t that a bit self-serving?Â
Well, I tell you that, at mathworksheetsworld.com , you can find well over 12,000 printable K–12 math worksheets, lessons, resources and dozens of math worksheet makers. Armed with this arsenal, there should be no more lag in math scores for our children. (I suggest my courses for parents to help with the mentoring of higher thinking skills together with these worksheets). Use the navigation on this wonderful site as your source of age / grade appropriate math lesson plans. Always add a sheet to your child’s homework each night, two to three during the weekend, recess and vacation days. With a membership at mathworksheetsworld.com , you can truly help your child catch up and then some!  As a loving parent and truly dedicated teacher (there are quite a few) we must partner together to preserve the higher standard of knowledge and understanding.      Â
Math teachers can utilize mathworksheetsworld.com to produce worksheets to reinforce classroom instruction. They can also refer parents to the site with specific worksheets to be printed out on their home computers - known as math printables. Site licenses are available for schools and school districts. Additionally, the site provides a host of other resources, sites and links for teachers. A free newsletter with free worksheets makes visiting and bookmarking this site a “must do” right now. And don’t forget to tell your neighbors and other friends about this important resource for the improvement of our children’s educational work product. Â
I highly recommend mathworksheetsworld.com as an essential tool for improving our kid’s math scores and improving the state of education in the home and in the classroom.
