Acoustic About The Loves of My Life.
The “love of my life†designation has been vied for, quite vigorously, for many years now. – each with their inherent qualities and demands on my time, I cannot help but to vacillate still between two of the curviest at hand. The first is my wife, whom I love dearly and has done for me what no other could do – having met her finally after many years of waiting. The second, I have had in my hands since I was 13 years of age. I had her in my hands every morning and played with her until my parents were awaken from their sleep by the noise we made together.
I speak of my beloved acoustic guitar! Since that age, I have always preferred the acoustic guitar to all the others. The classical guitar didn’t appeal to me, although, I appreciated its value for learning to play guitar and in the finer classical genre – now of my adult listening repertoire. The electric guitar was preferred by all my peers, I think, because of its youthful appeal. I never liked its twang or the electrical gadgets they hooked up to it (looked like a hospital patient on life support). The acoustical guitar was my baby – strong, clean and natural sounding, responsive to my playing and musical demands, as well as, versatile.
What a find for me when I was pointed toward AcousticGuitarHub.com. I am in love! There are a few select models reviewed as of this writing, but, they are well done – including videos. Listen to the video for the Seagull S6 – the S6 Seagull is generally regarded as a member of the good acoustic guitars for under $500.00 category. You can hear that great clean and crisp sound that just begs to be picked and strummed to ecstasy – I play her well!
Another entry at this site is for the Yamaha FG700S. This Yamaha guitar is a good starter guitar in the Yamaha Acoustic family. Reviewed by the site’s founder, Arlen Card, he plainly and honestly posits this guitar’s value within its price range and in comparison with the rest of the pack.
I particularly like the large star ratings table included on each review page. This feature gives you a quick rating for the guitar before you get into the detail of the review. I found the reviews to be honest, fair and valuable to those shopping for a good acoustic guitar. Should you like a guitar reviewed at the site, a click on its photo will usually take you to amazon.com where you can find it on sale and you can buy in confidence. I found this ease of information and purchasing linking a great convenience.
